4th of July weekend in Hayesville!

 We took off on Thursday, July 2 and headed down to Mimi and Pop's!  We made a pit stop there before heading on to North Carolina to visit the Woodys!

We made a stop at Wendys for a late dinner to break up the drive and it turns out we were waaaay early!

We got stuck in stopped traffic for 2.5 hours!!!  Thankfully the kids really did great and slept a good part of the way.  Grey got a "crick" in his neck and we had to manage that for a bit, but all in all, we cannot complain!  I was worthless as far as driving goes...Sky was awesome and drove the last 7.5 hours!  We finally arrived at my parents a little after 3am!

I got up with the kids and let Sky sleep in.  We crammed a lot in in a few short hours!

 We headed on a little golf cart ride after breakfast and then headed to the lake for some jet ski riding!

 After some fun on the lake, we got showered up and celebrated Grey's birthday a few days early!
He could not have been any sweeter!  He made his wish when blowing out his candles and said "I wish that I could spend every day with Mimi & Pop"  Sweet baby boy!

He got some stylish new clothes and a super cool Hot Wheels track!
Needless to say, he was thrilled!

After some kisses Good Bye and some Pop snuggles, we were off!

 We arrived in Hayesville mid-afternoon and the fun started immediately!

Reid was perty fun too!  Grey didn't have a smile on his face or anything!

We spent the first day hanging, catching up, and ate a delicious Taco dinner!  The kids seriously were in heaven!

We woke up Saturday and Sky made some yummy pancakes!  

Then we headed to Fires Creek to look for some crawfish!

I got to spend some QT with this lil angel, Melanie Rose.  She is not quite 3 months old and the 5th daughter of Reid and Shanda's!

I mean is she not just the sweetest!!?!?!?

After naps and movie afternoon, we headed to Aunt Clara's for some swimming, barbecuing, and fun in the country!

And then what 4th of the July is complete without a campfire and smores!?!?!?

 We slept in Sunday a bit and then headed into town, just the 4 of us, for some breakfast, claw game, and grocery shopping.  After everything the Woodys had done for us, we decided to make dinner for everyone!

Tatum was just on her stage, aka, bench outside preparing for her performance!

I asked her to sing and she sang...."noooooooo, no no no no!"

We headed back to the house and hung out...before we knew it, it was lunch time!

And then more hanging out!

While the little ones were napping, Sky, Reid, Clint, Sue and I headed to Gran & Pawpaws to shoot some guns!

 I had only ever shot my itty bitty revolver, so it was really fun to shoot the big guns!!!

When we returned back to the Woodys, the kids were having a ball swinging on the rope swing!

We rounded out the evening with a big spaghetti and meatball dinner!  The girls never ate better!
Earlier, Clint, Sky and I headed to a local winery to taste and buy some wine!  It went wonderfully with our Italian dinner!

 And we ended the dinner with some delicious cupcakes and leftover chocolate cake!

 We headed home about 8:20am on Monday morning for our looooooooooooooooooooooooooong journey home!  Tator slept in and out the whole trip, but Grey waited until the last 20 minutes to take a snooze!  God love him!  It was such a wonderful trip!
