Not too much to report

Nothing too exciting going on...but I couldn't let a day pass without sharing some pix of Baby Grey.  I think the poor guy was scared because we had such powerful thunderstorms overnight.  It was raining so hard, I really thought our house was going to blow away.  He woke up crying at 2:30am (which is never does) and I really think he was just scared...poor guy!  I am at work today and missing my man...Monday's are always hardest.  Hard to believe today is the last day in February!  Even harder to believe that Grey will be 8 months on Sunday! Seriously where has the time gone?

Weekend with Mimi!

Sad to say Mimi is gone.  We had a fun day yesterday...shopping with the girls then dinner with the boys!  Dani, my mom, and I spent a couple hours at the mall and we all got some good stuff!  Then we headed to a great lil restaurant for dinner  We had to wait 45 minutes for our table because it was so busy...and Grey was an angel.  He sat in the high chair and ate his food then played quietly the whole time we were there!  3 different people at the restaurant commented on how good he was.  I sure hope that lasts:)  Because dinner took longer than we anticipated, Grey got to bed about an hour and a half late.  You would have thought he would have slept in...but instead he actually got up about an hour early!  I wanted to cry when I heard him at 5;50am!  Thankfully we have no plans today....just clean and hang:)

WEATHER ALERT: A major storm is moving through, bringing heavy rain and the possibility of several inches of snow. 

So we woke up to heavy rain and by the time I got out of the shower, it was snowing so hard!   It normally takes me 10-15 minutes to get to work and it took me 30 minutes!  What a way to start the day!  It's hard to believe it was 60 degrees just one week ago!  

This weather makes me want to stay in bed and do this!

But the fact that it is Friday and my mom is still in town, makes me very happy!  Apparently it makes someone else happy too! 

Last night we had Danielle and Grey over for Enchiladas!  Grey was a lil fussy...he didn't nap very well yesterday and his 4th tooth is about to pop through...so I'm guessing this is why!  Lil guy slept from 7pm til 7:30am tho!  Such a good sleeper:)

Loving Mimi Time

Last night, Danielle (my sis) had us all over for dinner.  We think Grey has another tooth about to pop so we occupied him with a piece of ice!  He did pretty good.  We laughed harder than we have in a long time....it's so fun to talk about old times and laugh at yourself!

Today my mom has been loving on Grey all morning!  We just love having her here.  My mom's dogs are also in town...two miniature schnauzers: Woody & Murphy.  Murphy is scared of Grey, but Woody just goes with the flow.  Woody was laying on the couch and Grey just loved his paw...he wanted to put it in his mouth (of course)!

Missin my man

So my mom is in town and her and my hubby have Grey today....and I am stuck at work:(  They have been sending me a few pix which I love but I think that makes me miss him more.

I can hardly wait to get my hands on him!

It's been about 4 straight days of nothing but PJS....but Mr. Munch is still has fun in his "scooter" or watchin Thomas the Train with daddy while getting over his cold!

And Mimi will be arriving in T minus 30 minutes!  WOO HOO

Double Ear Infection & Riding in the grocery cart!

So my suspicions were correct...I have a double ear infection!  I didn't even know adults could get them.  I started antibiotics last night so hopefully my ears will unplug soon!  On a happier note, Grey is definitely getting better.  He still has a touch of a runny nose, but he is happy as a clam.  We took him for his first car ride in his big boy car seat!  He loved looking at himself in the mirror...its so funny to watch him just look and laugh at himself.  We just ran to the grocery real quick...and it was his first ride in the grocery cart too.  He was mesmerized by all the lights and colors!  It is so fun to watch him grow up and change...I just wish it didn't happen so fast!

Sick day

So yesterday was a super lazy day.  I had 0 energy and 0 motivation to do anything.  I woke up with Grey baby in the morning at about 6 and went back to bed for 2 hours around 10.  I never ventured too far from the couch.  Grey took two 2 hour naps and slept like a champ last night.  He still has a runny nose, but he seems in much better spirits.  He even ate some apples and sweet peas with daddy this morning.  I thought I was doin better by the time yesterday evening rolled around, but this morning I woke up with what I think is an ear infection (after a terrible night's sleep).  I didn't even think adults could get ear infections:(   Better me than Grey baby! I am heading to the doc today so we'll see what he says.  I hate being sick!  Price you pay for a bout of spring weather in February!  Here are a few pix of our lazy, sick Sunday!

On a happier note, our great friends Travis and Magda had a beautiful baby girl last night.  Katherine Sofia was born 9:01pm California time after a looooong labor.  So happy to hear baby and mom are doing well!  I'm dying to get the details and more pix:)

Mimi is spending the week with us....we can't wait!  She'll be here Tuesday through Sunday...woo hoo!

Sick Baby...& a lil MC Hammer

Poor Grey has a terrible cold...his nose hasn't stopped running in 2 days.  He just isn't himself....he is eating his bottles okay but doesn't want anything to do with cereal or baby food.  I came down with a nasty cold yesterday evening too:(  Running nose, head congestion, and sore throat....no fun!  I'm just glad Grey passed his cold to me and not vice versa.  He absolutely hates when I wipe his nose....and using  the sucker...fugit about it!

I was sad we missed my friend Jen's lil girl's 4th birthday party this afternoon:(  I hated to go and infect anyone else...plus Grey was in not in the best of moods!  We didn't do much of anything today...

We have double doors from the hallway to our bedroom....and he loves to crawl up the step to the hallway from the loft...make a bee line to this lil silver metal piece that allows the doors to close...and lick it!  It's hysterical.  This pic doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea!  LOL

 So after crawling all over the place, Grey was all tuckered out!  He fell asleep on my chest and I just loved snuggling with him.  His poor cheeks are so red:(

So he got super fussy in the afternoon, so Skyler put him in the baby bjorn (which Grey has always loved, but we hardly do anymore b/c he is just too heavy).  Not sure how Sky came up with this...but he puts on "Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer and does this lil dance with Grey!  It's hysterical and was a great way to calm our fussy, sick lil munchkin!

THE Ohio State University!  I know it really irritates a lot of people when OSU fans refer to Ohio State as THE Ohio State....but because I'm a Buckeye, I just love it.  (If I weren't, it would totally annoy me tho...lol).  I attended Ohio State from 1997-2001...graduating with a double major in Business Finance and Accounting.  Growing up I never imagined I'd go to such a large school, but coming from a smaller town, it ended up being a great decision!  When you are actually attending the school, it really doesn't seem as big as it sounds...60,000 plus students!!!  I wish I had more pix of my days at OSU saved electronically....but at least you get to see my lil Buckeye!

Great dinner with a bestie

So last night, my girlfriend Jen and I went out for a girl's dinner!  My sister was nice enough to watch Grey since Sky was working late: )  Jen and I headed to an Italian restaurant called Luce and I have to say I had one of the best meals I have ever eaten.  I so wish I would have taken a picture of it...it looked as good as it tasted!

Jen and I shared a nice Pinot Noir and a yummy chocolate dessert as well (of course).  We were long overdue to get together and it was nice to get out and just have girl talk:)  Jen is one of my best friends...don't know what I'd do without her!

My lil man woke up at 5am today!  I think he might be coming down with a cold b/c he woke up all congested:(  Luckily he rested for a bit, ate a bottle, and took an hour nap all before 8am!  LOL  He seems to have perked up so hopefully it is just congestion and not a full blown cold!

It is supposed to be 60 degrees today so I think I might take the lil munch for a walk!  I swear after the winter we had 60 feels like a hot summer day!

So my sister emailed this to me today and I literally almost fell off my chair laughing.  So silly, yet so clever...maybe even a tad inappropriate because most of my posts are all about my son!  I just had to share!

Well, thanks to my efforts you can now respond in an intellectual way. Jack Shit is the only son of Awe Shit who married O Shit. In turn Jack Shit married Noe Shit. The couple had 6 children: Holie Shit, Giva Shit, Fulla Shit, Bull Shit, and the twins Deep Shit and Dip Shit. Deep Shit married Dumb Shit, a high school dropout. After 15 years, Jack and Noe Shit got divorced and she married Ted Sherlock and became Noe Shit Sherlock. Meanwhile, Dip Shit married Lota Shit and had a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Shit. Fulla Shit n Giva Shit married the Happens brothers in a double wedding. The newspaper invited everyone to the Shit-Happens wedding. Bull Shit traveled the world and returned home with an italian bride. Pisa Shit. So from now on, no one can tell you that you don't know Jack Shit!
