Lordy Lordy it's November already! What happened to Fall!?!?!? I feel like this picture below was last week and it was 3 years ago! It is nice to look back and see what an innocent angel he used to be...especially when we have a few rough weeks like we have had. Before I get into that, let's talk about the fact that Tator is 20 months old! Say what!??!?!
Monday was a typical Monday...we took Grey to school and Tator grabbed her friends! She seriously throws a fit every time we have to leave! She can't just play with one...its all or none baby!
We are soakin up every last minute of the weather while we can!

| She totally posed for me here! |
 |
| Don't let this sweet face fool you! He is quite a handful lately! |
 |
| But I sure do love him! |
So its not secret this lil lady likes to eat...but it was nice to see how smart she is too! I was cutting fresh strawberries near the sink...the opposite end of the kitchen. She wasn't getting them fast enough so she moved her chair all the way around the island, stepped on up and helped herself! God love her!
Today was a typical Wednesday...just took Grey to preschool, made a pit stop at Menards, and then hung at home!
 |
| Thankfully today was a good...no make that, great day! Grey stayed in green at school and was awesome all day! |
Ok now for Tator's 20 month update! This lil lady is quite the character. I am often told that she is the most animated thing and should be in tv! LOL! She has more and more personality with every day that passes. That and she has a larger and larger vocabulary. She is currently obsessed with the movie/song Frozen and Dracula! Dee decorates her front porch with scary monsters, zombies, etc... for Halloween and Tatum was in love! Most toddlers would be scared, but not this lil lady! The decorations have been down for almost a week and the first thing out of her mouth anytime Dee comes around is "cacula".
Tatum's favorite word is "mommy" and will refer to any female that loves on her as mommy! That being said, Tator bug does love her mama! She is a mama's girl while being very outgoing at the same time.
She definitely has a mind of her own and is strong-willed like her mama! She loves to dance!!! Being outside and running wild is her happy place!!! Either that or standing on the kids table in the kitchen and stealing food, watching movies, or throwing things!
Tator is still a really good sleeper (although lately we have had some interrupted sleep with the arrival of her 2 year molars). Typically bedtime is right around 8pm and wake up time is between 6-7. She is officially down to one nap, but typically sleeps for 3 hours! Usually right around noon. That being said, Tator is flexible and can survive on less.
It's no secret our lil chunker loves to eat. Cheese is hands down her favorite! She would eat it all day and night. Breakfast is usually eggs, oatmeal, or waffles. Lunch is mac n cheese, grilled cheese, turkey or peanut butter and jelly. Dinner is usually spaghetti or whatever we are eating (kinda, sorta). Tator used to love chicken, but lately prefers her carbs! She still loves her milk and drinks at least 3-4 8 oz glasses a day. She likes it warm, but doesn't mind it cold either. Our Grey boy always had to have it warm (still does unless its chocolate of course).
We love our lil lady more than words can say! Whether we call her Tatum, Tator, Dooters, Doobers, Tomato, or Tomatillo...she answers and nothing can beat her sweet, gap-toothy smile!
In other news, Grey has been giving us a run for our money. He is still the sweetest, most loving boy most of the time, but when he wants to be difficult, he can have his mama in tears quicker than just about anyone. He has been very impatient lately...screaming, yelling, running out of his classroom...in fact, yesterday morning, he told me he was going to kill me because I forgot his IPAD. He just gets really frustrated really quickly lately...and its very hard to handle. He is like Jekyl and Hyde...one minute he is awesome and the next minute, meltdown city!!!
Kim is having some health issues, so Sandy Buck has been watching the kids on and off. She is fabulous for Grey. Sandy is one of the most loving, fun people in the world, but you don't mess with her and you don't disrespect adults in front of her. Sandy witnessed the "I am gonna kill you" episode and set him straight really quickly. From that moment on, he was an angel for her all day. Grey listens to Skyler really well too. It seems to be me and his teachers that struggle the most. Grey is too smart for his own good and also very strong-willed. I really wouldn't want it any other way, because I know later in life, this will be good for him...but right now, it runs a mama ragged! We are trying some incentive based "deals" that seem to be helping and he has been spending some quality time in his room as well. Knock on wood, but today has been the best day in a while! After a horrible night last night, it was refreshing to have such well behaved kiddos today!
I think part of Grey's problem is the fact that he has never not been the center of attention. He is a first child, the only boy in his generation on either side of the family, the first grand child on my side, and the prized gem at Kim! Kim and the girls spoil him rotten...which is awesome....but adjusting to a classroom of 12 and playing with larger groups of kids in the neighborhood takes some adjusting! I hope these are just growing pains "persay".
I just wanted to make sure I documented this so I can look back and remember all the moments of Grey's childhood...and not just the fun, happy ones!
