Another bug and Grey's 1st Soccer Practice!

We had such a beautiful week and start to the weekend...it was in the 70s yesterday!  Back up to Thursday...Grey went to bed with a fever Wednesday and woke up with a very low fever Thursday morning.  After Tylenol and breakfast, the fever was gone and Grey seemed totally normal so I sent him to school.  He did great until the last 15 minutes...sure enough he had a 101 fever when we got home.  After resting for about an hour and a half, he was good as new.  We played train, played outside, and then had some dinner...well Grey ate strawberries and a banana and then went to "play".  I came upstairs to find him cuddling on the bean bag.  Sure enough...another fever!

He was just mopey, but otherwise no other symptoms!  I reluctantly headed to Dani's for our 31 Party.  We had a good time and Grey did just fine with Rudi.  He woke up in the middle of the night with yet another fever but woke up Friday morning normal!  Off to Kim's the kids went and off to work I went.  Grey was mopey and feverish most of the day and then at 3 when Tator woke up from her nap, she had a 103 fever!  Ugh!

I picked up the kids and to the doctor we went.  By then neither of the kids had fevers thanks to Motrin...but they both had red throats with white dots on it:(  The tested Grey for strep but it came back negative so the doc said it was just a virus!  Treat the symptoms and don't be surprised if it lasts 3 to 5 days!

Friday evening was beautiful so since the kids felt better, we played outside until Sky got home from work.  It was a nice relaxing low key evening.  Unfortunately both kids were up in the middle of the night...Tator was just fussy and Grey had another fever!

We all slept in Saturday morning!  8am!!!  It felt great and both kids woke up in good moods with no fevers!  Since everyone seemed fine, we headed to Grey's very 1st soccer practice!

He was so excited and ran around like a wild man!  He did perty well!  I give credit to the coaches for taking on about  15 3 years olds!  Makes my head spin.

Tator had a ball watching!

After soccer, we headed home and spent the entire day outside in the beautiful weather!  We mowed the grass, jumped on the trampoline, rode bikes, played in the sand box, ate popsicles...and ended the day by grilling steaks on the deck with the Foleys!  It was a perfect Saturday!

Everyone slept great last night and no fevers in 24 hours...so fingers crossed we are kickin the virus's booty!

Just hangin...

Oh yeah, dinner was thaaat messy!

It's been a nice couple of days!  Although I woke up with a horrible headache this morning, it cleared up quick.  Tator didn't sleep well last night and now Grey has a mild fever:(  He acts fine, but just felt warm...sure enough a low-grade fever.  We are hoping it doesn't last!  I think our body's are rejecting this warm weather!  We don't know how to act!!!

Weekend Fun!

We had a really nice weekend despite the fact that Skyler had to work Saturday.  The kids, Danielle, and I visited Jen and her fam in their beautiful new house Saturday morning.  Then the kids and I just hung out.  Grey and I ran to the store while Auntie Dani watched Tator and then we headed to the Foley's for burgers on the grill!  Thankfully Sky made it home for that!
This lil angel is always smiling when she's eating!
Sunday turned out to be a really nice day!  We went to Dicks and got Grey some shin guards and a new soccer ball in prep for his soccer league that starts next Saturday.  Then we spent all afternoon outside.  We cleaned out the garage, cleaned out cars, jumped on the trampoline, rode bikes, cleaned out the beds...darn leaves!  Then we grilled chicken kabobs on the grill and made a DQ run!  It was a perfect Sunday!

Today was a rainy, dreary Monday!  I won't complain tho...better than snow and at least we had a nice weekend!
Check out Tator's Toms...or should I say Grey's Toms!  Who said boys can't hand things down to their sisters!

Oh yeah...check out my new hair bow!

And here's to a relatively wonderful week ahead!  67 and 68 over the weekend!  Wooooo hoooo!

Swim Day!

This week was spring break for all the kids and that meant even Grey didn't have school.  It was a pretty rainy week so Dee and I decided to take the kids to the Westerville Rec Center to let the kids go swimming!

They had a ball!!!

We had big plans to hang all night, but we were all pooped!  We stopped and grabbed a bite to eat on the way home and we were all in pjays in our own homes by 7:30pm!  Quite a different Friday night compared to last Friday!  Cheers to the weekend!

Tatum is 13 months old!

Tatum's eating schedule has remained pretty much the same.  She is and always has been a very healthy eater!  She still will eat just about anything, but the more she eats, the more you can tell she is developing likes and dislikes.  She only likes strawberry oatmeal...not peach or blueberry!  If you give her turkey and nothing else, she'll eat it, but if you give her turkey and cheese, she will only eat the cheese!

Tator usually get a bath between 6 and 7pm and is ready for her last milk right around 7pm.  She still goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 and likes to be laid down when she is ready.  She is a snuggler and tends to want her mama at bedtime!

Tatum isn't on as rigid of a schedule as Grey was, but she takes two naps a day.  Depending on what time she gets up, she'll sleep for about an hour to and hour and a half in the morning...usually around 9am.  Then she typically sleeps 1.5-2.5 hours in the afternoon...usually going down right around 1.  She is very flexible...and this is nice!  Nothing has changed since last month here!

Tatum's newest word is "uh oh"!  She has stopped saying hi and just waves now!  Skyler swears she said ball this month, but I have yet to hear it!  She definitely understands a lot of what we are saying and can point to what she wants!

Our little walker gets more and more steady every day.  She can stand up on her own without using furniture or the wall for assistance!

Tatum has started kissing this month!  She opens her mouth and leans in...they are usually perty wet!
Tatum really enjoys listening to music and having dance parties with her brother!  DJ Shuffle is on of their favorites!  She has started watching Super Why in the car!  It was one of Grey's favorites at that age and I really think he learned a lot.  That boy could identify all 26 letters before he could even say his alphabet.  Let's hope his sister follows in his smarty pant footsteps!
Tatum's nicknames include: Tator Tot, Tatie, Dooter, Dooter dot, Doods, and sissy!  Her name of choice for Sky and I has been Doobers!  Not sure where we come up with all of these, but it works!

She is wearing some 12 month clothing, but mostly 18-24 month clothing.  Size 4 diaper still:)  Currently I am buying nothing smaller than 24 months or 2T.

We have been able to get outside a few times this month and Tator really seems to enjoy it.  It is so fun to see her explore and discover things for the first time.  She was too little last year when the weather was nice to do anything but just hang in her stroller or be held!

Our lil munchkin is sure growing up fast!

Spring has Sprung!

The last two days have been in the mid 60s and low 70s!  Can I get an AMEN!!!

We have taken full advantage.  The girls and my babies spent lots of time on the trampoline Monday night!

And today we played in the sandbox, visited Maddie, jumped on the trampoline, ate lunch on the deck and wrapped up the evening at the park!  It was perfection!

There is lots of rain in the forecast for the rest of the week, but I am not complaining!  At least its not snow!!!!
