Spring is in the air

Somebody loves going for a walk

So today was almost 60 degrees!  It's amazing how much the weather can affect your mood...glad today it was for the better.  Grey loved getting out in the nice weather...we took a walk around the block and hit up Old Navy and Sam's Club.  Is it just me or is it impossible to get out of sam's without spending obscene amounts of $$$$!

So Grey thinks he is so funny...instead of eating his food, he decides he'll open his mouth wide so I give him a big bite...and instead of swallowing...he decides its more fun to spit back out at me!!!  Its hard not to laugh because he laughs when he does it....but it's really not funny!  He hardly eats anything...he just started this a few days ago and it seems like its becoming a trend!?!?!?!?

 bought some frozen peaches and also froze a banana...he goes to town with these!  I think he likes being in control:)  (I think he gets that from his mama!)

We had such a nice, relaxing weekend...always makes Mondays that much more difficult!  Saturday we attended the Columbus Founder's Day Dinner for West point graduates.  Since Skyler was the youngest graduate attending, he was asked to give a 10 minute speech.  He acted like it was no big deal, but I was so proud of him.  After the dinner, we headed to a friend's surprise 30th birthday party.  It was nice to get out and know Grey was in good hands with my sis and her man.  It doesn't look like Grey was having any fun with Danielle huh?!?!?   

Sunday was a laid back day...just getting stuff around the house done and watching OSU beat up on Wisconsin!  My mom and dad were driving through to visit my grandma, so they stopped and visited for a bit.  It is always nice to have them.  This upcoming weekend one of my best friend's April is coming into town to celebrate her 30th birthday.  I am so excited for a night on the town!  In other news, Grey is still smiling and keeping us smiling!

Guess who is 8 months old??!?!??!?

Our lil man is 8 months old today!  I know its cliche, but time just goes by waaaaaaaaaaaay too fast!  I swear Grey gets more fun everyday!  Here are some things Grey is up to these days!

*Grey goes to bed at about 7-8pm and sleeps til between 6-7am

*Grey eats four 8oz bottles a day, baby oatmeal or cereal/fruit for breakfast, 1/2 fruit & 1/2 veggie for lunch and the same for dinner

*Grey's favorite food is bananas, but likes just about everything...everything except green veggies...forget the peas!

*Grey is crawling and pulling himself on everything...he wants to stand!

*Grey doesn't really have a favorite toy, but is becoming more intrigued with stuffed animals

*Grey loves his monkey...smiles and giggles everytime he looks at him

*Grey loves cords and remotes more than any toy you give him!

*Grey wears 6 to 12 months in Old Navy (barely) and 12 month clothing in just about everything else

*Grey now takes a bath in the big boy tub and absolutely loves it!

*Grey has 4 teeth now...the two bottom and then his two fangs up top!  

*Grey's nicknames are Munch, Mr. Munch, Senor Muncho, and Moochie

*Grey moved from his infant car seat to his big boy car seat this month...he seems happy!

*Grey's swing, infant car seat, and infant bathtub were all retired this month

*You are happiest in the morning, but unless you are tired you are generally a very happy baby!

* You take a nap at 10am for an hour or hour and a half and a nap around 2 or 230 for an hour

*You love to blow raspberries and stick your tongue out and make noises!

I have a wonderful family that I value even more now that I am a mom myself.  My mom and dad have been married 35ish years (I know I should know)...all I know if they have been married a very long time!   My brother DJ is 17 months older than me and lives in Harlingen (sp?), Texas.  He was in the secret service for about 6 years and now he is an ICE Agent (Immigrations & Customs Enforcement).  He is a man of few words, but would do anything for my sister and I.  My sister is 3 years younger than me and is my best friend.  We have our moments, but she is a HUGE part of my life.  We share just about everything and even work for the same company.  We grew up in Northeast Ohio...my dad owned a computer business and my mom not only ran our household, but she also worked for my dad after we were in school.  She is the most selfless person I know and I can only hope to be half the mother to Grey that she was to all of us.  My Dad instilled great values in all of us kids...we are hard workers and know the value of a dollar.  He is a big softy inside, but likes to play "tough guy":)   My family is far from perfect, but I wouldn't change them for the world.

Fun with the girls!

So today we headed to my friend Lianne's house to visit her, her 2 1/2 year old Lily and her almost 3 month old Reese!  Grey was so curious and just wanted to touch baby Reese.  Lily wasn't too sure what to make of Grey.  He wanted to play with all of her toys:)  She was so sweet and let him do pretty much whatever he wanted!  I could kick myself for not taking any pictures:(

I did, however, take some pics of Grey this evening.


We just started bathing him in the "big boy" tub and not in his "baby tub" anymore.  For the record, we used this summer infant tub....and we just loved it!  The extra height saved our backs!

Hanging with Trav

Our friend Travis came over last night...we had some dinner and just hung out with Mr. Munch!  Grey  just loves Trav.

Monty is also in these pix...my mom bought him this monkey pillow thing and he just loves it!  He smiles and goes towards his face with an open mouth every time he sees it....I think he's trying to kiss him! Ha!
