The Dentist, Girls Day & Grey's 5 year pix!

We visited the dentist on Tuesday for Grey's 3rd or 4th visit!  We finally succeeded in getting some xrays!  The hygenist was fabulous and Grey was so proud of himself!  My lil man is cavity free!!

Beyond that, our week was pretty typical:)  The kids are really enjoying their last few visits to the Alexander girls home!  I can't believe Monday is the last day they will be watching them until next summer:(

After a long week, we headed to the Mcfarlands for a fun Friday night!  Tatum got all dressed up in her overalls and converse!  She demanded to wear the pink hi-tops despite the 85 degree heat!

But dang did she look cute!
I didn't take any pictures at McFarlands but I can assure you the kiddos had a blast!

We stayed way too late, but it was worth it!
We came home and zonked out!  Before I knew it, I woke up and it was girls day!!!
Dani asked for a day just her and I for her birthday and I was happy to oblige.
We started the day with a workout and then headed to Kohls.  After buying way too much ,we pit-stopped for lunch at Cheesecake factory to refuel!

After some more shopping and 2 hours at the pool, we headed home for showers and then headed back out for a yummy dinner at Brio.  We had an interesting waiter, but he made up for his unique behavior when he asked all of our neighbors to sing Happy Birthday to Danielle!  It was the perfect way to cap out a great day!

Sunday was just a typical day...catching up on housework, laundry, some fun in the sun, a workout, and then dinner!

I recently scored a playhouse for the kids on the Powell Buy/Sell trade site and they absolutely love it!  Tator wanted to eat dinner in it tonight!  Ha!
When I told her no, this was the face I got (through the window)!
I am in trouble!!!!
Erin was nice enough to take some more pictures of the kids this week as well.  I swear these are the best ones yet!  They just make me melt!

I am sitting here in disbelief...my first baby is getting on a school bus and going to kindergarten on Wednesday.  How the heck did we get to this point so quickly!  I will be a mess on Wednesday, but I know Grey will be so excited!  We found out he and James have the same teacher which is just wonderful!  These chapters are unfolding so quickly...I pray that this blog helps me remember them!

Grey's 5 year check-up and other shenanigans!

Last Monday, I took Grey for his 5 year check-up!  Yes, that blows my mind that I have a 5 year old son!

He was pretty psyched about wearing a paper gown and was so intrigued with the hand and footprints all over it!

My boy is quite healthy!  I was shocked that he was in the 78th percentile for weight because I swear there isn't an ounce of fat anywhere on him! He weighs 45lbs4.8oz and is 441/4 inches tall...(75th percentile).  Doc says he anticipates him growing to be about 5'11'' or 6' if he continues on the same growth progression that he has so far!  No shots this year so this 5 year old is officially ready for kindegarten!  EEEK!

We are trying to take advantage of our last official weeks of summer and spending lots of time with our friends and at the pool:)

This diva is loving her ponytails lately!  Can you blame her???  Hello cuteness:)

The kids joined me at Meijer on Tuesday and what is a trip to Meijer without a ride on the penny horse Sandy!

After Meijer, we met Sky at Amatos in Delaware.  These adorable kids were being so sweet with one another.  This just melts my heart!  #handinhand

Wednesday morning, the kids were full of spunk!

And still had some love for one another:)

Lexi loves to take pics of my kiddos and this is the face Tator gives her everytime!
Apparently she loves to look at herself in the phone and take "selfie" style pix!  Atta Girl!

We have been so spoiled with Sky getting home between 5-6 for the last couple of weeks.  On Thursday he relieved me at Gravers so I could start dinner.  Not soon after I got home, Ashley text me a pic of Sky and the kiddos reading a book!  He is just a wonderful father!

Saturday morning smiles!
I cannot believe I didn't take one picture Saturday afternoon:(  My long time friend Erin Cromer and her husband and three boys came to visit!  We had lunch and the kids had a ball playing outside in the pool and on the trampoline!

Saturday evening we headed to Kevin's house to cookout, swim and say good bye to Lexi!  Saturday was her last day home before heading back to University of South Carolina for her sophomore year of college!  To say the kids had fun would be an understatement!

And we have liftoff

Tator's turn...

We rounded off a wonderful night with a sweet pic of Lexi and Tator by the fire!  These kiddos will sure miss her until her fall break!

Sunday morning we skipped church and headed to Zoombezi Bay!  It was a beautiful day and some fun in the sun is just what we all needed!

Look who we ran in to!!!!?!?

Sibling love on the way out...

Although these two can't fight with the best of em, they really are best friends...

And Grey really does watch out for her!  Melt me!

Tator wasn't worn out at all!  Not one bit:)

In the blink of an eye, it was Monday morning...
And Tator and I pretty much felt the same way!

This is our last full week of summer before school!  I can't believe it and I think starting school in early August is ridonkulous!  We find out Grey's teacher Friday and have an open house at the school next Monday!  It's all becoming very real very fast!!!
