Show me Your Belly!

Good morning!

Today felt like Fall...I loved the temp, but the dreary, rainy, cloudy part of the day was blah.  Grey and I made the most of it and played in side most of the day.  Grey seemed sleepy...just one of those days:)

He does this new thing....we say "show us your belly"...and he lifts his shirt and grabs the skin on his belly!
It's too cute!

Well hello there...

We watched some cartoons...

One of us bit the other's knee and thought it was sooooo funny!

When Mommy had enough of that, someone bit the recliner...

I made a roast in the crock pot today...just a great day for pot roast!!!  Grey may have found his new favorite food...he loved loved loved it!  He started with some carrots, but once he had some meat, there was no turning back.  Like me, he opted to skip the celery:)  I can't believe my baby boy is eating pot roast!  Wasn't he just trying rice cereal for the first time?!?!??!

After a dip in the tub, we played while we waited for Sky to get home.  We worked on blowing kisses...and I believe Munchy has mastered it!  His eyes lit up and he said "dada" with a huge grin on his face when he saw Sky...it was perty darn sweet!

14 Months Old

I can't believe it...you are 14 months old today!
Here is what you are up to!

-You go down between 8 and 8:30 pm and get up between 7:00 and 7:45am
-You are not 100% consistent with your naps...but typically you nap from 11 to 1 and sometimes take a shorter nap around 330 or 4.  I think you are slowly phasing out your 2nd nap.

-You still prefer to go into your crib with your binky and blanky awake...you roll around, sometimes you play with your busy box, sometimes you cry, but within 10-20 minutes, you are usually out like a light!
-You are done with bottles and onto whole milk!  You drink a minimum of 5 sippy cups a day......about 25-30 ounces
-You also eat 3 meals a day...we never know what you are going to like each day, but seem to be more and more consistent as time goes on
-Breakfast usually consists of oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit and/or gerber cereal bars.  You also love pancakes and toast.  We are trying eggs, but so far, you aren't a huge fan.
-Lunch is usually grilled cheese, mac-n-cheeze, turkey, veggie straws, crackers, fruit...we also introduced ham and you seem to like
-Dinner is usually whatever we are eating for dinner....we never know if you'll like it or not, but recently you liked meatballs and chicken.  You even liked a few bites of refried beans:)  We recently were in TN and you tried sloppy joe, ribs, stuffing, mashed potatoes and didn't hate them!  You loooove lasagna!
-You still throw food sometimes, but usually we know your done because you literally push our hand away!  Step up from throwing it on the floor!  HAHA!~
-You are non-stop motion.  From the minute you get up til its dtime for bed, I feel like all I do is chase you!  You get into everything and anything you can get your hands on!
-You really seem to be understanding a lot more...you try to repeat everything we say.  You have Hello, Night Night, mama, dada, cup, car, and tom (thomas) down pretty well.
-You mimic us a lot now too...if we give you a brush, you brush your hair.  If we give you a shirt you try to put it on your head.  If you get your hands on a cell phone, you hold it to your ear and say "hello".
-You are wearing 12-18 months clothes but the more you walk, the loser your pants are getting.  I don't buy you any shirts smaller than 24 months.
-You can point out eyes, nose, and ears...we are still working on mouth!  You would rather point out our features rather than your own.
-You still love to be outside...you explore everything!  You still love mulch, but more than mulch, you love other kids!
-Your favorites toys include your race track ramp thingee, play cell phone and anything Thomas the Train! (the book that plays the music is your absolute fav and you hit the button over and over and over!)
-You have 12 teeth...4 top and bottom in the front and two upper and two lower molars.
-You still put everything in your mouth...gravel, mulch, sand...you name it, and it goes on your mouth!  Instead of swallowing it or eating it, you just lick it now...I swear you know you aren't supposed to do it but you test us!
-By far, your favorite food is fruit...you got excited at the grocery store when you saw me put strawberries in the cart!
-You still  love to be chased and chase us around the house!  You just run and run and run!

Labor Day Weekend in Tennesee!!!

We spent this past long weekend in Tennessee at my parents house.  We headed down Saturday evening...Grey was such a good boy in the car!
Snugglin and watchin some Thomas!

Mom....R we there yet?

Our lil man finally found his nose....be careful what u wish for huh???!??!??
We arrived to my parents house around midnight on Wednesday night and hit the sack!  Thank God Sky is  a good night driver...there is no way I could have done it!  None of the other guests had arrived yet, so Thursday we hung out and tried to stay cool.  It was pushing 100 degrees!!!

Munchy was more inetrested in the "dagas" than the golf cart ride!
Helping Mimi get cooking supplies in the pantry!!!
Pop (Grandpa) races these lil cars and is trying to groom lil Grey to be a driver.  Fast cars, racking suits, helmets, ...NO THANK YOU!

The rest of the guests arrived Thursday evening...Tom & Rita are long time friends of my parents and Dani & Greg!!!  We had a delicious dinner...ribs, sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, salad, and topped off with chocolate mousse!  I feel my waste line growing just thinking about this meal...and this was just the beginning!

Friday the boys golfed and the girls shopped!  My mom, Danielle, and I all struck GOLD at the Loft!  Greyson was such a good sport...not fussy at all!  Of course, we bought him some treats...wait til you see his new P Jays!!!!  After a long, hard day of shopping & golfing, what else would you do????  Eat, of course!  We headed to a delicious restaurant with 3 others couples...friends of my parents that live/visit the area often.
Tom, Rita, my mom, and my dad!

Mimi & Grey

Dani  & Greg

Walking around with Daddy!

Strolling around waiting for a table!

Getting 2 guys to smile & look at the camera at the same time is much harder thank you'd think!!!

Hey Daddy....here is your nooooooooooooose!

Saturday, after a large breakfast (of course), we watched the Buckeyes stomp Akron!  It wasn't much of a challenge, but it was fun to watch a new coach and a bunch of new players!  Munchy snacked while rooting on the Buckeyes!!!

After a lil pool time....

It was time to partay!

Saturday evening, my mama hosted a LUAU!  It was so much fun!

Munchy needed a break...he needed a quick "thomas" fix!

The hula girls!

ALOHA!!!

PARTAY!!!

Murph & Munch!

Enough sweet & sour pork to feed an army!
Sunday was recovery day!  We went on a nice, long boat ride to enjoy the lake:)  We read some books with Mimi...

And...we ate!  Stuffed flank steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, bread, and apple pie/mousse/or coconut cream pie!  HOOOOOOOLY FOOD!  My mom should really sell her food...its THAT good!!!

We hit the road last night after dinner and got back home this morning around midnight.  It was a wonderful trip, but it is always good to be home!!!
