Christmas 2015

Since I have been a major slacker, I will have to make this a super long post to catch up!

Since Tator got her Anna doll from the neighborhood Santa, she had to wear her hair like Anna to church Sunday  morning!

And yes, its December 14 and the kids are outside without jackets!

Make A Wish!

Just some more Elf on the Shelf Fun!

A photo of all the kids Saturday night!

North Pole or Bust!

Needless to say Grey did not have a good day in school on Wednesday  so Chunk spent the day in "Naughty List" Jail!
Grey has been reacting very well to the sticker reward system the teacher implemented.  He had one bad day and of course it was the day before I was due to be in the classroom for his Holiday Party.  He told James he was going to blow up his house and then wouldn't accept his punishment of losing part of his recess so he had to go talk to the principal again:(  He was super sweet the following day and gave lots of apologies.  Of course this doesn't make his behavior okay, but he at least understands that this isn't appropriate behavior.  We are trying to use lots of positive reinforcement and teach Grey to take a deep breath and not go postal.

Cutie Patooties!

Silly kiddos!

Thursday was testing day at Jiu Jitsu and Grey earned his yellow stripe!  He was beyond proud:)

I had swapped days with Danielle and worked Thursday instead of Friday to help her out so Friday we visited the Alexander girls!  Of course, they spoiled us rotten and bought the kids gifts.  Tatum received a Princess Dress up Box full of Dress Up clothes!
Look at my ring!!
Grey got some of the coolest Light up legos I have ever seen.  I got to spend an hour plus putting them together later that night! HA!

Saturday, Grey and I baked cookies!  Lots of sugar cookies and peanut butter blossoms!  YUM!

More Elf on the Shelf fun thanks to Kristen loaning us some props!  Roasting marshmallows!

Monday night reaction to Skyler telling her "no" when she wanted a soda!  Oh the drama!

Just hanging with their friends!

Danielle's sitter's son was sick so we got to babysit Charlotte on Tuesday morning for a while!  We ran some errands and picked up Uncle Map from the airport!  Woo hoo!

Then I headed to get a much needed haircut.  I just felt like I needed a change without chopping all my hair off so the lovely Kelsey took about 5 inches off and gave me some pretty caramel highlights!  I am happy and my hair feels so much healthier!

After that, we headed to Jiu Jitsu for the last time in 2015!  Uncle Map got to see Grey and boy was it fun!  It was obstacle course day!

Grey was so proud and said "aren't I such a good jumper" and "mom, are you getting pictures of me!".

On Wednesday Sky had planned to drive to Youngstown to pick up Grandma Ruby so she could spend the holidays with us, but Danielle did so instead to allow Sky and Matt to have more time together.  We really appreciated that and were so happy our 88 year old Grandma could enjoy the holidays with us and her great-grand kids!  They just adore her!

We spent the evening at Auntie Dani's having dinner and playing like crazy!

Crazy Christmas Eve momrning shenanigans!

Believe it or not, it was so nice on Christmas Eve that Skyler and Greg went golfing.  When they were on Hole 11 across from our house we headed out to visit and take a golf cart ride:)

After spending the whole day in our pjays, we finally got dressed up and ready for church and a yummy dinner!

We always let the kids open one present on Christmas Eve and if this doesn't capture Grey's sheer joy, I don't know what does!

Tatum was obsessed with Charlotte's gift more than her own!  Go Figure!

We attempted to get all the kids together, but it was a waste of time!  1,2 and 5 are not the easiest ages to get photos together!

Grey and his cousin Charlie!
After eating way too much Christmas Eve and having an absolute blast playing Catch Phrase, we called it a night.  The kids were so excited but after reading "Twas the Night before Christmas" and "Hawaii Snowman", they finally crashed!  Danielle was the entertainment of the night.  She drank just a bit of wine and was hysterical!  I really can't think of too many people that can make me laugh like her.  Even Sandy and Ruby got a lil crazy!  It felt so good to laugh like that!

Sunday morning was chaos, but oh so magical!  These ages are just so fun!  The magic of Christmas is alive and well in our home!

Santa brought the kiddos a bounce house and they were thrilled!  Grey kept asking "why did Santa bring us a bounce house?"  So cute and innocent!

CHarlie got her very own trampoline!  It took her a minute, but she was jumping away in no time!  Such a sweet lil peanut!

We took several hours to open gifts and then ate a yummy breakfast of Hankie Pankies, Creme Brulee French Toast, Eggs, Bacon, Fruit, Mimosas and Bloody Marys!

Greg, Dani, and Charlie headed out to Cleveland to visit Greg's family and were nice enough to take Ruby to Uncle Daves since he lives close by!  My mom and dad headed home right after breakfast as well.  They are home bodies!  Before they left one pic of the festive 3 out of 4 saying "ho ho ho!"

All in all we had a wonderful Christmas and have more "stuff" than we know what to do with.  The highlight of my day was about 9pm laying in bed with Grey when he said "Mom, my favorite gift of all did not come in Santa's Sack.  My favorite gift was spending so much time with my family".  That kid can be the sweetest ever!
