Never too early...

Greyson loves to shower with his Daddy...and his favorite part is using the squeegee!
Never too early to teach a child good cleaning habits right?!??!  LOL
So careful to get ALLLLLL the drips:)  That's my boy:)

Yesterday was my last "work from home" day as a mama of 1!  I was a lil sad....I"m not going to lie.   We had a great day...just the lil man and I.  We met Christy and Emerson for breakfast and then they came over to play for a lil while.  Then Grey and I played trains, played catch, and baked a red velvet cake!  He just loves to stir:)
My sweet boy with his "fake" smile:)

Well good morning Grey boy!

Countdown is on!

This time next week, we will officially be a family of four (god-willing).  So many emotions are going through my head....excitement, disbelief, anxiety.  In one way, I feel like i have been pregnant forever and in another way, I feel like the pregnancy flew.

We spent this past weekend hanging out with our lil man...
Playing Trains...

Meeting friends for dinner....
Then taking an evening walk and playing more trains at Barnes & Noble:)

Taking bubble baths...

Taking more naps...

 and Grocery shopping with Dad...

which of course entails modeling cowboy hats from the toy aisle!
Both Skyler and I are looking forward to one last weekend as a family of three...and anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 2nd bundle of joy!  I can't lie...I am also really looking forward to some time away from work:)  6 more nights....

39 weeks

Your baby's waiting to greet the world! He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it's likely he already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, a mini watermelon. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.) The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath.

This past week has been an interesting one.  It is crazy how different two pregnancies can be!  I have been cramping quite a bit...especially in my lower back.  I have been sleeping pretty well considering which was exactly the opposite with Grey.  I have zero energy and not much of an appetite either.  I also am having these itching attacks...mainly on the soles of my feet and the palms of my hands.  It is so bizarre.  I asked the doctor today and he said its harmless and can have something to do with liver function during pregnancy!  I swear...anything is normal when you are pregnant!  Thankfully Sky has been uh-mazing and really taking care of Grey, going grocery shopping, etc...  I wouldn't have made it without him!

I had my 39 week appointment today...I was 2 cm dialated...doc said maybe a lil more.  The baby was a -1 station so he/she did drop some.  All in all not a ton of movement, but the good news is, my induction is scheduled for Monday, March 4 at 7am!!!  Either way this baby will be here in a week!  Wooooo hooo!    We are so excited to finally meet the lil guy or girl!

"No You're Not" Phase

So our lil Mista Munch is going through what we hope is a phase....he loves to contradict what we are saying.

For example...
I say "Grey, let's put on your shirt"
Grey says "But I don't wanna put on my shirt"
I say "Okay, then you don't have to put on your shirt"
Grey says "But I wanna put on my shirt"

This applies when taking a bath, going to eat a meal, using the potty, selecting a video to watch, brushing his teeth, deciding what toy to play with, etc...  pretty much everything we do!

It's cute in one way, but very trying at times to (and by trying, I mean I kinda wanna whack him...hehe..I would never:))

How could I when this face is so stinkin sweet!?!?!?

Thanks Mimi & Pop for the XL, super messy, super sticky Valentines Sucker! Someone thoroughly enjoyed it....cleaning bill will be sent soon:)

Mischevious lil munchkin!

AND CAN I GET A T.G.I.F.?!?!?!?!?

So Monday evening on my way home from work, I started to get terrible cramping in my lower back.  My doc has warned me that I would cramp a lot more with baby 2, but it really through me for a loop.  I am so so so lucky and grateful to have such an amazing husband.  He literally took over when he got home from work...played with Grey, fed him, bathed him and put him to bed...let me lay on the couch with a heating pad all night.
This lil heart breaker and Sky were best buds this week!

How bout this hat?

And this pic pretty much sums up an average day in the life of Greyson Munekata...no pants, lots of trains, and a big smile!!!
Other than some nausea and tiredness, I have felt much better the last day in a half.  I even had a bit of an appetite this morning!  Hard to believe baby 2 will be here no later than 3/4/13...but I can officially say we are ready!!!

38 Weeks

Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)

If it weren't for this nasty cold that hit Sky and I this past week, I would have very little to complain about....and in the scheme of things, I really don't have much to complain about anyways!  I am still feeling great...tired and ready to feel normal again, but otherwise, really good for being 38 weeks pregnant.  I had terrible carpal tunnel at night with Grey and was swelling pretty good, but so far, nothing with this bambino.  I will never wish a cold on a pregnant person for as long as I live....I usually don't skip a beat, but this was really had me down for the count!

I had my 38 week appointment today....heartbeat was 148, I was 1-2 cm dialated, and 80% effaced...doc said baby had definitely started to drop!  Of course this doesn't mean much....I could go today or I could make it to my due date.  I am having a lot more cramping...especially in my lower back.  I had none of that with Grey...but the doc warned me about this so I'm not too worried:)

Somebody Got Married!!!

My new brother-n-law and my beautiful sista!

Mimi, Greg, Dani, and Pop!
Last night we all went to witness a simple ceremony and then celebrated a delicious meal at Luce!  Dani and Greg were thrilled to share the night surrounded by family, wine, and yummy food!  It was a lot of fun...just wish I could have drank some wine:)

Sky and I are still battling terrible colds and I have the start of an ear infection:(  We have been lazy bones all day!

My silly boy takin a bubble bath:)

I mean really....this is a serious tubby!
Tomorrow we are hoping we all feel better and can enjoy Bella's 6th birthday party.  Grey has been looking forward to it all week:)

Happy Valentines Day!

Grey and I baked a Red Velvet Poke Cake for Skyler for Valentines Day yesterday...
Grey in my very manly apron!

Grey's new "show me your teeth" face!  I'll take it as a smile:)
Such a proud lil baker!
Cleaning up after mixing the cake!
After our morning fun, my mom and dad spent the day with me.  They are in town for my sister's wedding tonight:)  Grey was an angel today and finally seemed to be on his way back to normal!  The fact that Mimi & Pop came bearing gifts didn't hurt his mood I'm sure:)
Captain Heartbreak fresh up from his nap!

So bashful:)

Maracas from Mexico!!!

It isn't Valentine's Day with out a cape!
Last night my mom and I met Danielle and her soon to be sister-n-law and my friend Katie to get manis and pedis.  It felt uh-mazing....especially since I can't reach my toes anymore!  I am excited for tonight...a big dinner with the Supelak family and the Knoedler family:)  So happy for my sis!

37 Weeks

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

No pics from last pregnancy because for some reason, I only took a bare belly shot and I don't want to scare anyone:)  Weeks 38-40 are covered, so I will resume comparison photos next week:)

No big changes this week...I am just ready to meet  this lil guy or girl!  I had my 37 week appointment yesterday..I was not dialated at all and the baby had not yet dropped.  The heartbeat was 145.  Doc said he thinks I had some time left, but not to be surprised if my water broker tomorrow!  No water breakage yet....but Sky and I both caught Grey's cold!  I don't remember the last time I was this congested!!!  Oh well, better now than when the baby is born:)

Tis the season for colds:(

Unfortunately Grey woke up with a cold on Friday morning.  He ran a fever and vomited once at Kim's, but thankfully only the congestion and crankiness persisted through the weekend...
We still managed to have fun being pirates!

Argh Matey!

And you know my man and his bubble baths!

Munchy's nap schedule was a lil off, so he just passed out whenever...

and wherever he could!
This weekend was pretty low key.  I went to a funeral for one of my childhood friend's grandfather.  He was such a great guy...I can remember him at all of our basketball games growing up.  So sad, but thankful he was able to live to be 85.  After that, we just hung at home and ran up to "Old Bag of Nails" to grab dinner.

I woke Sunday feeling icky...just tired and crampy.  Par for the course when you are 37 weeks pregnant!  Sky was a saint and entertained Muncy while I rested.  I finally got some energy around noon and managed to make lunch for everyone and get some stuff done around the house.  Sunday evening, I attended a work event...we all went to dinner and to the Columbus Blue Jackets game.  Hockey isn't one of my favorite sports, but it was still fun!

Unfortunately I woke up with a cold this morning!  Life seems to be flashing by right now...being busy getting ready for baby 2, potty-training Munchem, year-end stuff at work, and my sista's wedding!  This next 3 weeks is really going to fly!!!

Playing & Painting

This week has been pretty uneventful...just the usual routine around here!
Can you tell its almost bed time?

Today we went to a place called Latte's & Lollipops...its a coffee shop/cafe for adults and has a play area for children.  Parents can go play with the kids or they can hang out in the cafe while their kids are supervised.  Grey had an absolute ball...from playing trains to trucks to puzzles to the bounce house to the slides...he would have stayed all day if I let him!  We played for about two hours and then Dani met us for lunch.  This is perfect for me right now...gives me a break and Grey has more fun than he'd have playing with his big old mama!
Hard to see through the glass, but you get the idea!

This is how Grey spends most of his time at home...pant less!  It just makes potty time easier!!!
I believe I caught him mid "choo choo"!

To mix things up a bit, we have been experimenting with paint!  As you can imagine, Grey just loves it!
He loves using a paint brush!

That is until he discovered that he could use his hands!

It went downhill from there:)

How cute is my messy lil Picasso tho??!??!?

My old t-shirt is his painting smock!  Looks slightly homeless!!
I am so happy tomorrow is Friday!  Next week is a big week...doc appointment Monday, get my hair done Tuesday, my parents come in town Thursday, and my sister gets married on Friday!!!  Before I know it, I'll be meeting this lil bundle of joy:)
