Parks, Parks, and more Parks

Grey is one lucky lil man to have such wonderful grandparents.  Mimi visited a couple of weeks ago and now Tutu is here all the way from Hawaii!  Tutu arrived Saturday afternoon and Grey immediately was enamored!  We spent Saturday evening at home watching the Buckeyes and eating a nice home-cooked meal.  Poor Judi flew all night and had a 6 hour time zone to deal with:(

This morning we got up and went to church and then came home and Sky made a delicious brunch:)  Grey skipped a nap for the 2nd day in a row.  I think he was just so excited to have Tutu here!

After naptime (even though he didn't nap), we headed to get Munchy a haircut and then for some fun at the park!

I was really bad at taken pictures today...but I did manage to get a few!  Tomorrow I'll actually get some more and get Tutu in them!  We ate dinner at Kinsale on the patio and let's just say Grey passed out really quick tonight!  All of the excitement finally caught up with him!

Nacstics & McDonalds

It's been a pretty typical week...other than an amazing ultrasound and great news on some blood test results that finally came back:)
Grey has been such a good boy lately too (knock on wood)

And he still has the chubbiest, sweetest lil feet...crossed almost all the time!

He was pretty happy when I told him that we were going to a gymnastics (pronounced "nacstics" by Greyson)  class yesterday morning!
We tried a free introductory class at "The Little Gym" yesterday morning.  This was Grey's first "class" ever and I thought he did really well.  As the "circle" (I say that loosely because we are talking 12 month-30 month old kids) was forming, my son was literally jumping up in town in the middle yelling "I'm so excited".  It was one of the cutest things he's ever done.  We ran in circles, walked like a bear, flapped our wings like a duck, walked on a balance beam, did flips on the bars, and caught bubbles!!!
And oh the drama that insued when it was time to leave!

It was a fit of epic proportions!!!

On a good note, Grey took a wonderful 2.5 hour nap yesterday! Then we did something I have never done!!! I had been craving a milkshake for almost a week so Grey and I headed to Mcdonalds to indulge my craving and celebrate the great call I got from my doctor.  I made sure there was a play area so Grey could run around a bit...but the website failed to tell me the play area was outside....and it was a rainy, icky day!  Instead we sat down to share a milkshake and Grey kept telling me he was hungry.  I finally gave in and got him a happy meal...my lil piggy ate 4 chicken nuggets, french fries, apples, and milk!  Of course, this will not become a habit, but he sure was a happy lil man!

We headed to the library after our Mcdonald's treat!

We played puzzles, blocks, and read some books...about trucks of course...and always trucks that look like Jack, Alphie, Byron or Max & Monty (the Thomas the Train construction crew)

It is now early, early Friday morning and we are looking forward to Tutu's arrival tomorrow afternoon.  We haven't seen Skyler's mom since last Christmas..so this is long overdue!  Happy Friday!

17 Weeks & this weekend

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop
Not the best photo, but definitely a lil baby bump there:)
We had a pretty low key weekend.  I worked in the office Thursday and from home on Friday...which was nice for a change!

I took full advantage and snuggled with my lil man:)
He's got that "fake smile" down!
Friday morning, Christy and her daughter Emerson came over for a little play date.  It was a great way to break up the day.  Grey and Emerson played with trains, jumped on the trampoline and played with play doh!
Busy busy!

Emerson paused to say cheese, but not my busy lil man!

All that "playing" wore my lil man out!  Snuggle time on the lazy boy:)
Sky had to golf in a golf outing on Saturday so it was just Grey and me most of the day.  One of my best friends, Tara, drove up from Cincinnati to spend a few hours with us.  She has a 6 year old, Rylee, and a 2 year old, Reagan.  We had brunch and then jumped on the trampoline!  The kids had a blast:)  Of course, I was too busy to take pictures:(
I did manage to snag one of my lil buckeye playing trains (imagine that)!

We stayed busy Sunday...went to Costco, the grocery store, played at the park, took naps, went to the library, and made dinner!  I took no pictures again:(  Boo!

Today was a pretty typical Monday.  Grey went to Kim's and Sky and I went to work!  After work, Grey and I headed to the park...
To play trains...you guessed it!

No more pictures mama!

Oweeee...I got something in my eye!

Wood Chips are soooo fun:)

Good Morning & Good Night

So yesterday Grey woke up to a wet crib...poor guy had wet right through his diaper, pjays, and sheets:(  He special white blankey got hit too so we had to bring his Thomas Blanky in the car...
All Snuggled up with my milk...if only Ma would stop flashing pictures...too bright, too bright!!!
Apparently Grey was not up for a nap at Kim's yesterday...she says he wasn't cranky, but just wasn't up for a nap.  When I picked him up he was a wild man running all over!  Just minutes later...

Grey was out like a light on the drive home!  He looks so comfy right!?!?!?
I got a break last night and met my bestie Jen for dinner at Cheesecake Factory!  We always have the best time.  I missed the wine, but still enjoyed the company:)  I made a pit stop at the store beforehand and picked up a couple "dressier" long sleeve t-shirts to accomodate my growing belly:)

Lil of this, Lil of That

So the last few days have been a lot less eventful than last week's fun with Mimi...
A certain 2 year old was pretty upset when mimi left!
I kid...he was not happy to see Mimi go, but the above picture was a result of a very short nap and Mama wanting to give the lil man a bath...tragic I know!  LOL

And there is that angelic boy I know and love snugglin with his mama:)

It wouldn't be a day without trains....

Inside & Out!!!

How bout that sweet face watching the real train off in the distance!!!

16 Weeks!

How your baby's growing:
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

So I am 16 weeks pregnant (as of yesterday).  I feel great and officially have a mini baby bump!  It seemed to pop out overnight!  People always told me I would show earlier with Number 2 and it seems they were they right!  I didn't even take my first belly pictures until I was 19 1/2 weeks because there was nothing to show!  LOL  It actually was perfect timing, because my Mom, sister and I went shopping Friday evening and I got some fun stuff to wear...maternity skinny jeans, skinny black pants, and skinny grey jeans.  I also got some cute tops at The Loft that aren't maternity, but will definitely work until I get really big!  Getting dressed was such a chore these past few weeks, so I am excited to have some new options!

Here is me at 19 1/2 weeks with Greyson...
Here is me at 16 weeks with Baby #2

Here is the rest of the weekend in pictures:)

Playing trains in our Pjays...imagine that!
We told him the cool whip was ice cream...I think he's skeptical!?!?!
Play trains with a new friend at the park!

Experimenting with Play Doh...and trains of course!

College Football Saturdays....only change for Grey is playing trains in his Buckeye Jersey!!!

Sky is out of town for work so my mom came to keep me company while he was gone!  Greyson was beyond thrilled!
It was early and he was barely awake...so he may not look it, but he was excited!

This is my man saying "no pictures mommy"

Shocker...he's rather play trains than pose!

The weather has been awesome here!  Cool mornings and warm afternoons....fall is right around the corner!  We have been taking advantage and hitting up the park before he heats up too much!  Grey will go down the slide once or twice and he might swing for a few minutes, but his favorite thing to do is play trains!  We bury them in wood chips and then "clean-up"!
What would either of us do without trains!?!?!?

And just what he needed...a new train!  Mimi spoils this lil man rotten!

Jeans & Football

Two things that make my heart happy....jeans weather and football season!  Friday evening we met friends of ours at a cute little restaurant...it was an old firehouse that was turned into a restaurant.  Grey got a kick out of the firehouse parapharnalia all over!
I was desperately trying to get a full body shot of the lil man, but this was as good as it got!

Apparently he was ready to go!

After dinner we stopped to get some ice cream.  The ice cream shop was in a little plaza...all of the other stores were closed, but Grey took full advantage of the 30 yards or so of sidewalk.  He ran up and down about 20 times!
Pausing for a rest!

What ma?

Saturday was a perfect, fall football Saturday!  Skyler and Grey went to the gym in the morning while I worked out at home and got laundry done!
Grey was all decked out in his Buckeye gear!

But still busy playing trains!

Nap anyone?

The only way the lil man would stand still...GO BUCKEYES!
After a Buckeye win, we headed to get Grey some shoes.  His fat little feet already outgrew shoes he got for his birthday 2 months ago!  Sunday was another nice football kinda day.  We just went to church and breakfast, then watched the Browns nearly beat the Eagles:(  So much for getting a good quarterback....4 interceptions and no touchdowns!  Boo!  Oh well....at least we only lost by a point!
