Our weekend

It has been a nice few days off with my men!  I slept horribly Thursday night so I was a bum on Friday. Sky took Grey to the gym and gave me some time to rest in the morning and then we just all were bums for the rest of the day!

Grey has been enjoying his new table and chairs!  He looks so grown up!

My lil angel napping:)
Saturday we all went to the gym and out for lunch.  It felt good to work out and get out of the house for a bit!  Grey loves his "Jake & the Neverland Pirates" gear he got from "Uncle Map" for Christmas!
He insisted on wearing this on Saturday...

Even to the gym and out to lunch!
After Grey's nap, we played in the snow...another 4ish inches overnight Friday night.  Grey just loves it...he has his own shovel and thinks he is such a big help to his Daddy!
Like Father, Like son!

My red-cheeked lil man!

Nothing beats a bubble bath after playing in the snow!
I was so sad to wake up to Grey with yet another stuffy nose:(  He literally is just finishing up his antibiotic from his last cold/sinus infection, and now the poor kid has another:(

As much as I wish he wasn't sick, I can't really complain about how snuggly he is:)
We were on our way to church when we realized the lil man was just too sick to go...he is a snotty mess.  We went to the grocery store instead...and that was not the best decision.  Grey threw a fit like he has never thrown a fit before.  He didn't pass out last night til almost 11 and was up at 6:30am...so I think part of it was him being tired and part of it is his cold...but man was he a mess!  He was crying, kicking, pulling hair, and doing everything he could to get out of my or Sky's arms.  He cried most of the way home too!  So not like our lil man!

Fun in the Snow!

Although we didn't wake up to a white Christmas morning, we sure got a big storm the day after Christmas.  I would say we got between 6 and 8 inches in a matter of 12 hours.  After making it home safely from work, Sky and I took Grey out sledding!

He was a big help!

And didn't have any fun at all:)

He even took his turn pulling the sled!

I had a hard time walking in the snow, so just imagine someone that is only 3 feet tall:)

Poor Sky had his work cut out for him with his pregnant wife and big boy sitting on the sled!

We were freezing and he was sweating:)

Sky took Grey down the big hills while I played paparazzi:)

Whether its 90 degrees and sunny or 20 degrees and snowy, our lil man just LOVES to be outside!  He even helped Daddy shovel the driveway!

Christmas Morning Fun!

If it wasn't obvious from the two earlier videos, my lil man was beyond excited!  I am not sure he totally got the entire Santa bringing presents thing....but he definitely likes opening presents.  We started our morning getting breakfast prepared and Munchy playing trains!
Before long, Dani, Greg, and DJ arrived and the fun began!

This was from Santa...and because its a track with a hill, this was probably one of his favorites!

We took a break and ate some breakfast...
In Grey's case, that meant he put some yogurt in his mouth...and more of it all over his face!

Santa's beard perhaps?

This was a big surprise not only for Grey, but for Sky and I as well.  My entire family got him this super cool  battery powered truck! Grey had a ball riding it in the basement, but we have some work to do on his steering ability!!!

All in all, we had an amazing Christmas.  I am so sad its over, but grateful we got to spend this holiday with family.  Grey has gotten up at 5:30 and 6 the last two days...let's hope this isn't a trend for 2013!!!

30 weeks

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

We didn't take the standard belly pic yesterday....there was just too much going on.  So this is me being silly for Sky!  Everyone has told me I am carrying low this time around...and people keep telling me I am going to go early!  10 weeks is soon enough!!!  I am feeling good...the Prilosec continues to work for my heartburn and with the help of Benadryl, I am sleeping pretty well.  The baby is moving quite a bit...which is always a comfort.  Other than that, nothing new to report.  I just feel bigger by the day!

Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve

Unfortunately I had to work on Christmas Eve.  When the banks are open, Search2close is open and it was a busy day to boot!  It was a nice chance for Sky and Grey to spend some one on one time together tho:)
They ate yogurt!

They played in the snow!
I got home around 4:30 and the rest of the crew arrived a short time later.  My mom, dad, sister, brother, Greg, Sky, Grey and I had a great night!
We started it off with an orange popsicle...it's Christmas...why not!??!?!

Someone was quite excited!

Taking a break by the door!  This lil man could not stop saying "Merry Christmas everybody!"....it was priceless:)

Candid pics compliments of Sky!

Greg and Auntie Dani

Mimi and Pop!

My mom's birthday is New Years Eve so we decided to celebrate Christmas Eve since we were all together.  Grey was more than willing to help!
We also let Grey open one gift.  He seriously could not have been more excited.  He kept saying...."I cannot believe it" and "What is it" and "I love my present"...mind you this was all as he was opening it!  Oh to be 2 1/2 again:)

Sky and I tucked Grey into bed and read him the Night Before Christmas....it was nearly 10pm so he was very sleepy to say the least:)
Santa and his elves worked hard to deliver all of these presents!

They ran out of room under the tree...so the pile just kept growing outward!

It is about 5:45am and I have been up for 2 hours...I guess I am as excited as a child on Christmas Morning...only this time my excited is not for myself, but rather for my baby boy!  Hard to believe this will be our last Christmas as a family of 3!!!!  Merry Christmas!

Shoveling Snow!

Weekend before Christmas

My family arrived, the gifts are wrapped and we are ready for the festivities to begin!
My sporty lil man on the way to the gym with Sky Saturday morning!

Helping mama clean in preparation for the arrival of our guests!

All bundled up to walk and see Auntie Dani's new house!

Taking a break, watching some Thomas...almost nap time~!

Sick of pictures and trying to escape Mimi's hold to "run away"!

Caught by Greg after trying to run away!!!

Playing trains with Pop!

"This train is so long Mimi and Pop"
Although we will probably not have a white Christmas, I will do whatever I can to make this Christmas as special and fun for my lil man as possible!!!  He is such a joy:)  Merry Christmas Eve!!!

The week before Christmas

I am so happy to report that my grandma was discharged from the hospital Tuesday night and is doing soooo much better.  The doctor's ruled out a blood infection and a heart attack...she was diagnosed with an upper respitory infection and a bad case of the flu.  My mom is taking care of her and she seems to be improving everyday!  Unfortunately she cannot go out in the cold so she will not make it to my house for Christmas.  Sky, Grey, & I plan on going up next weekend to visit!

It has been a whirlwind of a week...not sure what we've been so busy doing, but I can barely believe its already Thursday!
Something was finger-licking good!

Must have been a purple popsicle:)

This goofball looks like he's up to something!!!

Today is cold and rainy....and they are saying we might get some snow tomorrow.  Grey and I don't have much planned.  He is still battling a stuffy nose, so the doc called him in some antibiotics to clear it up....diagnosed him with a sinus infection!  This morning we tried out a Pinterest activity....Fruit Loop Candy Canes!
Takes lots of concentration!

But tastes oh so good!

Grey's masterpiece!

All that fruit-loopin really wore the lil man out!
He told me.."Mommy, I'm kinda tired.  I'm gonna take a nap"
Of course, he was playing, but it was still perty sweet:)
